Great Places To Take Your Dogs: Snowmass Village Colorado

One of the best trips Roz and I ever took was with Louise and Baz to Snowmass Village Colorado. We stayed at a lodge there which has a section of the first floor reserved for people with dogs.

We decided to drive up by way of another favorite stop of ours, Sana Fe New Mexico, and do to some bad directions on Mapquest we ended have to drive the whole night arriving several hours later than expected.

The place truly was a winter wonderland and even though our native Texan dogs weren't quite sure what to make of the snow at first they had a blast playing in the powder.

The lodge is well equipped including a outdoor hot tub and heated pool. There is nothing like going for a swim in toasty waters while it is snowing or sipping a cocktail while soaking in the hot tub after a long day in the snow. Likewise Aspen was fun too and though I can't remember the name, there was a great dog boutique which had some pretty cool stuff.

Open for Business Again

Well I guess what I really needed was some time off to focus in on other things. I am going to start posting again after taking several months off from posting anything of substance and officially calling it quits in June. Truth be told I really enjoy the interactions and the joy which comes from sharing my experiences with these wonderful guys. I think it is quite easy to get pulled down into the mud with all the B.S. and what not and I also think that is what really burned me out from my blog. I am going to try a new approach in the weeks and months to come and I hope you all enjoy my posts. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the great messages I get, they really mean alot!

The Blog is Officially Closed

Well guys I want to thank you all for taking the time to come here and read about these wonderful dogs. I hope that you have learned something as I know I have by writing these posts. I am going to close this blog down because I just don't have the time anymore and what free time I have I am going to spend with my family and dogs.

Time Keeps on Flying By

Sorry I have not been posting nearly as much as I would like. When one is a part of a new business venture it is more like trying to grab the bull by the horns versus a job, but slowly a sense of normality is forming around our daily routines. He is a cool video from Ara and Spirit. There blog is called, "The Oasis of My Soul". More of travel and Soul Searcher type blog than really dedicated to the breeds we all love so much. I am across their travels while doing some research a few months back for my own up and coming trip. Never the less, Spirit is a great breed ambassador for bullies and here is a youtube clip from their blog I hope you will enjoy.

2010 (the year we make contact)

It's been a great few months for us and the pack. With the new restaurant opening I have not had much time for blogging or travel, but all the hard work is starting to pay dividends and now I am starting to enjoy the luxury of free time!

We like to travel to Dallas every now and then to stretch our legs and we took little Nash with us right before Christmas. We stayed with some friends of Roz and went to see the Texas Tech/Baylor game at the new Cowboy Stadium. I have to say it is quite a large facility but aside from the giant mega T.V. the place is pretty plain looking. It takes forever to get in and out of. Cowboys Fans got ripped off!

As always things keep moving forward and I will be back to regular posts from here on.

Continental Airlines Restricts "Pit Bulls" From Air Travel

As being reported by News10 of Maryville, Ca a Sacramento women is quite upset because of Continental Airline's policy banning some Pit Bull breeds, specficlly, from Air travel.

Apparently, the lady making the complaint,Dawn, had tried to ship a pit bull puppy, which was rescued from a California shelter, on Continental Airlines to a Tennessee where a family is waiting to receive the puppy.


According to News10 Continental Airlines has the following policy:

Continental Airlines will accept American Pit Bull Terrier puppies which are between 8 weeks and 6 months of age provided they do not weigh more than 20 lb (9 kg). All American Pit Bull Terriers more than 6 months old or weighing more than 20lb (9 kg) will be refused. Crossbreeds with American Pit Bull Terriers are also excluded from this embargo. This embargo is due to the danger presented to our aircraft and our customers.

So I've not really been a cat person ever since some years ago I got a cat and he hated my guts from day one. Now the ungrateful little SOB is my Grandmother's cats, but maybe
just maybe cats are alright after all.
