Continental Airlines Restricts "Pit Bulls" From Air Travel

As being reported by News10 of Maryville, Ca a Sacramento women is quite upset because of Continental Airline's policy banning some Pit Bull breeds, specficlly, from Air travel.

Apparently, the lady making the complaint,Dawn, had tried to ship a pit bull puppy, which was rescued from a California shelter, on Continental Airlines to a Tennessee where a family is waiting to receive the puppy.

According to News10 Continental Airlines has the following policy:

Continental Airlines will accept American Pit Bull Terrier puppies which are between 8 weeks and 6 months of age provided they do not weigh more than 20 lb (9 kg). All American Pit Bull Terriers more than 6 months old or weighing more than 20lb (9 kg) will be refused. Crossbreeds with American Pit Bull Terriers are also excluded from this embargo. This embargo is due to the danger presented to our aircraft and our customers.

So Maybe Cats Are Alright

So I've not really been a cat person ever since some years ago I got a cat and he hated my guts from day one. Now the ungrateful little SOB is my Grandmother's cats, but maybe
just maybe cats are alright after all.

Floyd & Guy Boudreaux File Lawsuit Against the Louisiana SPCA

The Associated Press is reporting that Floyd and Guy Boudreaux have filed suit against the Louisiana SPCA seeking an undisclosed amount for "loss of property, loss of income, and mental and emotional distress".

The suit comes nearly a year after the Boudreaux family was acquitted on 57 accounts of varying dog fighting crimes.

I am surprised that they waited this long and was beginning to wonder if the Boudreauxs were going to take any civil action against the LA- SPCA. More details about the Boudreaux case can be found here for anyone interested in reading up the past happenings of this case.
